If you mean the shawl I'm wearing in my host photo - it's the Tuscany pattern from Amy Singer's No Sheep for You book. It's knit in the Handmaiden Silken, just like the orange you bought for your lace shawl class. Agree it would be a good pattern for the alpaca - it's 5-1/2 st/in. If you're on Ravelry, see
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/tuscany
BTW, I see where 37 people on Ravelry are all working on it, including Amy herself.

,.i know you want me to knit that shawl...but i was referring to the picture on the finger lakes fibers home page of the ribbed one knit with the shibui yarn...

i pulled the needle out of the cream colored lace border i was working on on the the tour...restarting it...too many boo-booz i could see...if it's worth doing, it's worth doing well...

ravelry seems to be oppressed by too many people who want to join the site...

Ohhhhh. Still want you to make that shawl from No Sheep... But now I know the shrug you mean - it is ShibuiKnits. You're right, that is knit out of DK alpaca from Shibui. I called out to Portland yesterday to see where my order was (ordered at TNNA first week of June). It's still not here and I give up. I'm going to carry Colinette (sp?) instead - they can ship right away; and they have Jitterbup - the most requested sock yarn made today. Not sure where you can get the pattern. If you can't find it near you, let me know; and I'll call them back and plead for a pattern for you! I saw the shrug knit up at TNNA and it is great. Keep trying for Ravelry - it's worth the wait!
