Has everyone cast-on? Any questions about knitting in the round and "joining, being careful not to twist"?

Here's a photo of where I'm at on my first sock. Socks do "Soar on Two Circular Needles" especially at soccer games! I'm loving how the striping is working out; and it's a good compliment to the rib stitch. It's great how fast these socks work up in sportweight Lola! I'm used to Anne (which is a lot lighter weight).

We had another great tour last week. Here's a photo from Sarah from Georgia taken at Bear Farm. Sarah writes, "We had a wonderful time on the tour last week ... I hope you've had a chance to recover a little. You did a great job. We loved the variety of activities - eating, drinking, critters, shopping, knitting, classes and even a little free time. It was well thought out and executed. And we enjoyed Pam so much! Thank you for a fun few days. We wish you continued success."

I just found out that you can't add photos to this blog when you post a comment. Bummer. You will have to make a comment and in it add a link to the photos on something like Flickr or Shutterfly. Here's one of my photos from the Angora Goat farm vist. Miss you all! MJ

July Fiber Tour Fun

We are having a great time on the FIRST EVER Finger Lakes Fiber Tour. My favorite part of the tour so far is meeting new fiber friends from all over the country (and world, Carolyn!); and sharing our beautiful Finger Lakes region with them. Tour-ers: please post your photos here. We all want to see your pictures of the scenery, the farms, the fibers, and the projects you are making with the yarns you've been buying(yes, Angie, that means you and your beautiful little Bel Canto alpaca lace scarf).
